The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted all of our lives. Miracle League is offering its baseball program to our players in a modified way so that we can remain as safe and healthy as possible under the circumstances.
We have established the guidelines described below, based on our extensive research and outreach to other similar organizations, schools, sports programs, and Montgomery County Government guidelines. Of course, the decision for each child to play belongs to his/her parents. Miracle League fully understands that some of our players may be immuno-deficient, so we trust that those parents will consult with their physicians for more definitive guidance in this situation.
We are prepared to adjust our guidelines and playing plans in accordance with local, state, and federal guidance, as well as for any material changes in current COVID infection conditions.
Guidelines
- We ask that Volunteers, Buddies, families and players follow customary social distancing protocols to the extent possible once they have entered the Miracle Field and its spectator area
- Use of the Miracle Field itself is limited to players, Volunteers and Buddies only
- Anyone who is having any of the following symptoms or conditions should not enter the Miracle Field or its spectator area: Active COVID-19 infection, Fever, Unexplained cough, Known recent close exposure to a COVID infected person
- Volunteers and Buddies may wear masks while present on the Miracle Field and its spectator area, but it is not required.
- We strongly encourage all Volunteers and Buddies to be vaccinated
- It will be up to each player’s parent(s) whether they want their child to wear a mask while on the Miracle Field and in its spectator area
